On September 12th Deb G. and I walked across the street from my house and scrambled up Exshaw Mountain following the newly flagged route. It is steep, with lots of side hill gouging, and lots of tricky loose rocks. At about the 2/3 point I ran out of steam, but Deb carried on to the summit and signed our names and took lots of photos. I lounged in the sun and also took lots of photos. It was perfect weather and I owe my life to Deb who hung onto my pack loop and saved me from the treacherous loose rocks and slippery plant life.
