I was about to phone Jean to wish her happy birthday when she called me from Canmore and came to visit on her way back to Calgary. We enjoyed some of the goodies Judith had made me over a cup of tea and had a nice visit on this sunny day. Before leaving she applied some of the Arnica cream that Krystyna had given me on my swollen elbow. Jean had worked for me in the Kananaskis information centres (mainly the Elbow Valley centre) many years ago and we have remained friends ever since. Jean was a nurse in training when Lizzie Rummel was once in Calgary General Hospital.
Not long after Jean left Mike & Maria arrived bringing an Easter card and gifts. We also had a great visit and then they bundled me up in my big duvet jacket and we went for a walk to the creek at the end of the street. They were amazed at the changes in Exshaw Creek since last year’s flood. They had spent the day hiking up Grotto Creek Canyon and were amazed at the flood damage in the upper section of that creek. Unfortunately, I forgot to get a photo of them. Check previous blogs because there is one when they visited awhile back.
