It was a cloudy day, but relatively warm at -4˚C when we started out from Canyon day use in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park in Kananaskis Country. We hiked/snowshoed the Penstock Trail that starts out crossing Pocaterra Dam and follows part of the water course that serves the water needs at the facilities in the park. There was lots of snow and the trail was largely packed by previous snowshoers. Three of us just hiked in our boots, but Dawna wore her snowshoes.
The day started out with Darcy and Patricia finding out that their daughter works in the dental office that is where Dawna’s husband is a dentist. Lloyd has been my dentist for over 30 years. As it turned out Dawna and Lloyd were at the daughter’s wedding, but didn’t get to know Darcy and Patricia. Its a small world once again.
