Ruthie’s Little Hiking Group goes out most Thursdays. On November 28, a chilly day, five brave souls set out and four of the group hiked on packed snow the whole way to the Ink Pots along Johnston Creek in Banff National Park. Since I am slow (due to Parkinson’s disease) I went as far as the trail junction to Johnston Canyon. Here I found some big logs to sit on while eating my lunch. It was a very quiet day on a trail that is usually very busy, so I took my time hiking back to the parking lot and was able to photograph pine marten, rabbit and cougar tracks.
