On Monday this week Trish and I went to Sibbald Lake Campground for a one night camping trip. While there we hiked Ole Buck Loop and were wowed by the thousands of flowers and long grasses on the lower part of the trail. We didn’t see any bears in spite of masses of cow parsnip flowers; a favourite with them. I had to walk very slowly and keep my eyes on the narrow trail as it often was hard to see through the long plants. The upper section of the trail was much easier to follow. We were blessed to see two butterflies. The flowers here are sticky purple geraniums. The fancy rock cairn is at the top of the hill.
