Bow Valley Provincial Park is one of the greatest little parks in Alberta. I go there often when I want a short hike or something not too strenuous. A couple of weeks ago I hiked Middle Lake Trail (2.2 km return) from Middle Lake day use parking. As I drove out of the park I noticed a great flock of Bohemian waxwings. I couldn’t resist taking a few photos, so here is the one that my friend Vern took up my challenge and counted 160 birds in the trees.
